Sidewatcher's A Blue Christmas is out now!

Happy December! Sidewatcher just released our NEW Christmas single!

The A Blue Christmas single is a garage rock/punk twist on two holiday classics.
These songs were a lot of fun to arrange and record. I love that we were able to leave our own little mark on each version.

Side A is a cover of "Blue Christmas" made famous by Elvis Presley in 1957.

Side B is a cover of "Jingle Bell Rock" made famous by Bobby Helms, also in 1957.

Also, check out these outtakes/behind-the-scenes shots from the album art photo shoot.
After much brainstorming, we decided on a chaotic, twisted blue Christmas scene. I wanted something familiar to the holidays like candy canes, but in a form that people don't normally see- crushed and soaked in a dark blue, sticky substance...

Perhaps a bit like a Christmas horror film drenched in blue blood?

To accomplish this effect, I crushed a box of candy canes and then poured a mixture of blue agave syrup and blue nail polish over the top to make the "blue goo" effect.
I am very pleased with how the scene turned out!

For the next 48 hours, A Blue Christmas will be available for free download at:

A Blue Christmas is also available for download/streaming on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
