Summer 2017: Update #2

Since the weather isn't completely to where I want it yet, and lows are still predicted to be in the 40s, I am continuing to keep my succulents and cacti indoors...

Summer 2017: Update #1

College has been out for a little less than a week now and it's the perfect time to get ahead on my summer succulent/cacti/gardening blog. This summer break I plan to update the blog weekly, at the very least with growth updates. I was thrilled to see how much my plants grew last summer and cannot wait to see the progress this summer...

Summer 2016: Update #7

Well, I am successfully moved into Campbell Hall. It is almost three weeks into the semester and it already smells like fall. Although I am not entirely looking forward to the winter, as I hate the grey and being cold all the time, I am excited to see how my succulents will react in the spring. The winter is like hibernation for them. They store up energy, bloom in the spring, and their growth accelerates in the summer...

Summer 2016: Update #6

As I began to mention in my previous update, I have just come back home from two weeks traveling the West Coast. It was so much fun! The weather was perfect, the air was dry, and the landscape was absolutely unbelievable. It was very cool driving across country and seeing the land change right before your eyes. One moment you would be driving through the red desert, then before even realizing it you would be in the mountains, and on the other side there would be green all around! Truly amazing...

Summer 2016: Update #5

It has been a few weeks since I last updated this blog, but no worries! I have been on vacation traveling the West Coast and collecting succulents along the way. I am in the process of writing a post with lots of photos (yay!) of my new succulents, research on propagating pups, information on how I will be transferring my succulents to my college dorm room, and a general growth update...
